For all our bespoke driving courses in Tyneside, we provide training on a range of roads and different areas, which can include:

Motorway training – Tyneside is served by the A1 motorway that joins the A194 motorway at Springwell. We use these two motorway routes when we are undertaking Advanced Driver motorway courses in the Tyneside area. We also use the faster routes of the A184, the A19 and the A69 to the north of the county. When using faster routes, we can help to train drivers to be confident and safe at all times. We can teach many Advanced Driver techniques to help drivers with motorway confidence issues, from being boxed in by big lorries and worrying about entering and exiting the motorway junctions. It is well known that motorway driving is the safest way to drive, but the speed and amount of traffic worry most drivers. With a course unique to your specific needs, we can help you become the confident driver you have always wanted to be.

Rural Roads – There are many rural roads in the north and the south of the river Tyne, and we have used them for many drivers wanting to feel safer when using rural roads. Rural driving has its own specific skills, and if you are unfamiliar with driving on such roads, then a course will help. Rural driving can be hazardous, especially in the winter months, when there may be more road closures due to fallen trees or floods, not to mention snow and ice risks. During the summer months, the rural roads can be much busier in Tyneside with tourists and caravans.

Urban Training – The largest urban area in Tyneside is Newcastle on Tyne, followed by Gateshead and Jarrow. We have taken many drivers through urban driver training in these areas, from staying calm and composed in heavy traffic to understanding the large urban junctions and roundabouts that link to ring roads around the town centres. Rush hour traffic is where the most urban accidents happen; we can help you to stay safe when driving on these complex roads. The A186 circles Newcastle on Tyne and links to the A167 motorway and the large urban junction there is a route we often use to help train urban drivers, especially delivery van drivers.
