Our tailored driving courses include a variety of formats, including:
* Company driver training – for van and car drivers in your fleet
* Young drivers – Confidence-building sessions for younger or newly qualified drivers
* Pre-court driving courses – speeding and other pending convictions.

* Motorhome confidence courses – Focused training to build confidence driving larger leisure vehicles
* Advanced and defensive courses – bespoke to your needs
* Motorway confidence training – Helping drivers feel safer and more in control on motorways
* UK Familiarisation – for drivers new to the UK
Our courses are built around the needs and requirements of the driver. Unlike other providers, we don’t have a rigid format but a format designed to get the very best out of each driver, regardless of their level of experience.
During a session, we typically look at:
* Forward planning and observation
* Speed Awareness
* Developing a positive attitude towards safer driving
* How to become a safer driver on all roads
* Car or van control (gears, steering, foot controls, signals)
* Rules of the road
* Dealing with road rage
* Reversing and manoeuvres
* Dealing with adverse weather
* Town and urban defensive driving
* Driving in heavy traffic and allowing adequate space
* Skid control theory and learning what causes skids
* Eco-safe driving (effective use of speed, gears, and planning)
* Anticipation – Learning to see and not just look
* Understanding other road users and their intentions
We score a driver in over 20 areas of driving, both before and after a course, from Excellent to Poor, so you can see the areas of improvement and in what areas, along with handwritten notes from the tutor. Each driver taking the training will also be graded on an overall road risk from low to high.
Remember – We build all our driving courses from scratch and are built around your specific needs. This applies to both business and private customers all over the UK.
For all our bespoke driving courses in Luton, we provide training on a range of roads and different areas, which can include:
Motorway training – the M1 motorway serves Luton, and to access it, one must use the A1081. This route has been used many times when training drivers with motorway confidence issues. Most accidents occur near motorway junctions, so it is essential that you understand the regulations of motorway driving, including how to enter and exit at the correct speed, how to overtake safely, change lanes, and avoid being boxed in by large HGVs. Many severe accidents have occurred around the large urban roundabout that leads to the M1 from the A1081, and many of these may have been avoided with better forward planning and observation. During driver training, we teach various systems of car control, such as IPSGA – information, planning, speed, gear, and acceleration – as used by the police and paramedics. Learning how to use motorways confidently is easily achieved and tailored to your exact needs.
Rural Roads – Luton is set in a fairly rural area with many miles of open countryside roads to travel. Still, they can be worrying if you are unfamiliar with using them on a regular basis. For example, the lanes between Wandon End and Knebworth have seen many severe accidents, similar to the roads between Dunstable and Leighton Buzzard. With few speed cameras, fewer warning signs and hardly any street lighting, rural driving can be hazardous at the best of times, but in adverse weather, many lanes may be flooded or blocked with fallen trees. With the temptation to speed in quiet areas, many rural accidents involve younger drivers taking silly risks, which can be fatal. Learning how to drive rurally needs good observations (reading the road ahead), knowing when to hold back when forward views are obstructed, and a good level of vehicle control.

Urban Training – Luton is a bustling town with a high incidence of accidents, which often occur during rush hour traffic and are predominantly found around busy roundabouts and traffic light junctions. Many accidents can be attributed to driver impatience and a lack of awareness of their surroundings. If we examine the A505 and the A6 ring roads, we find that there have been numerous crash sites, with the large roundabout junctions being the most affected. The roads leading into the town centre, such as Dunstable Place and Upper George Street, have also seen accidents that may have been avoided with a few advanced driving systems to help with observations and indications. It is crucial to be aware of the intentions of other road users, pedestrians and cyclists, understands public transport movements, and be mindful of passengers alighting in front and attempting to cross a busy road. Good urban driving is essential, especially if you’re considering a delivery driver position (where your driving skills will often be assessed) or are taking over driving responsibilities for your family. Whatever your reason, we can help you.
