Although we do cover almost all of the UK, a large proportion of the training we provide is in London and Kent area. Kent has its share of dangerous roads, including the busy M2 and M20, along with busy rural roads, such as the A20.

Kent covers a wide area, and although most training covers the main towns and cities, such as Maidstone, Ashford, Sevenoaks, we can cover all areas of the county. Our advanced driving courses in Kent involve a range of roads, including rural roads, town driving and also motorway driving. Unlike other counties, Kent has a diverse range of roads – which is a real plus for training.

We have currently provided advanced driver training for a number of companies based in Kent. As with all our courses, a training session can start from your office, or should you wish, a mutually convenient location for our tutor and driver. Driver training in Kent is often a good alternative for companies located in London, who want to get out of the centre and enjoy a wider range of training options.

Training can be done on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis. Around 90% of our clients opt for the 2:1 format due to time and cost savings. The 2:1 format is simply where one driver goes out with one tutor for 3.5 hours in the morning and another for the same time period in the afternoon.

Remember – Each driving course is bespoke to your own needs. This applies to both business and individual customers across the UK

Course Content:
.

* Reviewing a driver’s specific day to day driving and their motoring history to create a bespoke training plan
* Developing a drivers powers of observation
* Understanding speed and creating a focus on excessive speed and its implications
* Changing attitude towards a safer way to drive
* Learning the System of Car Control
* Manoeuvres, reversing, driving in tight spaces such as carparks
* Motorway driving
* Urban driving
* Ecosafe driving
* How to boost driving confidence

Our courses do alter in their delivery, although we have a number of courses based on time; these are outlined below:

3.5hr session
7hr session
2 x 3.5hr sessions
3 x 3.5hr sessions
4 x 3.5r sessions
5 x 3.5hr sessions

After the training, you will receive a full driving report, which will outline the driving standard both before and after the training. We measure a driver in 20+ key areas and score them either excellent, very good, good, adequate or poor. We do this at the start and the end, so you can see the improvement and in what areas. There will also be notes from the tutor too.

For all our bespoke driving courses in Kent, we provide training on a range of roads and different areas, which can include:

Motorway training – Kent is located on the southeast coast and is served by the M20 from Folkstone, linking to the M2 and the M25 on the outskirts of London. We have trained many drivers to gain more confidence when using fast motorways, and we use many car control driving systems to help with your observations and show you how to avoid being boxed in by large HGVs. Everyone has unique issues with motorway confidence, from worrying about overtaking and changing lanes at speed or not getting to your exit in time. With a little extra training, you can use them without anxiety. Drivers who used to drive a lot but have been working from home or are now the main driver in the family due to illness are just a few examples of which people are looking to remedy their motorway driving issues. We also train delivery drivers to ensure they are not causing problems to other drivers on motorways by staying in the wrong lane, speeding, or not understanding the regulations of motorway driving, such as the new Smart Motorway systems.

Rural Roads – Kent is known as the Garden of England for an excellent reason. It has some of the UK’s most charming and scenic rural and coastal landscapes. As the majority of Kent is coastal in the east and south, there are many extra drivers in the area at certain times of the year, and roads such as the A529 toward Dungeness are littered with accident sites, and this is much the same along most coastal roads in Kent. If we look at the more inland rural area of Kent, such as between Tonbridge Wells and Maidstone, there have been many accidents, especially between the villages of Hunton, Yalding and Benover. Rural roads will always be more hazardous due to the lack of street lighting, speed or warning signs and seasonal worries such as flooding, but knowing how to drive in rural areas is a must, especially if you like to explore the UK by road. Many new campervan owners will take rural driving courses before setting out for the first time on holiday, and we also undertake training for new drivers who live rurally. This is especially important as most road traffic accidents involve younger drivers in rural environments.

Urban Training – There are a few large towns in Kent from Maidstone, Tonbridge wells and Folkstone. All will have urban areas with multilane junctions, ring roads and roundabouts. Driving in an urban setting can be challenging at times, especially during rush hours. If you are used to driving in and around town centres, then you will understand the frustration and impatience that can occur. With urban driver training, we help many drivers become more aware of their surroundings by predicting the actions of other road users, including pedestrians and cyclists. In Maidstone, for example, most urban accidents happen around the bridge junctions of Fairmeadow and Broadway and across the High Street and King street route to the A229 Junction. Knowing a few advanced driving techniques will help immensely with all aspects of your driving and, in turn, can make urban driving far less stressful.
