Advanced & Defensive Driving Courses Surrey
Surrey tends to be a popular county for our advanced driving courses for both private customers and business clients. We have full UK coverage and come to you for the training – anywhere in the UK.
We provide bespoke advanced/defensive driver training to companies and private individuals, using our national network of DVSA registered advanced driving instructors.
No two drivers are the same, which is why we have created a range of course options to fit with your needs:
3.5hr – Mostly opted for by business customers, when training a number of drivers back to back. It’s also open to privater customers too who only need a shorter course. The 3.5hr course is our shortest course available.
3.5hr x 2 – If you don’t fancy a full day but want to cover more than a 3.5hr session, then this split course is great. The 2 sessions can be split over a few days or weeks. Sometimes we can run this course over 2 days.
7hr full day – Intensive in it’s nature. But is a great way to get the course done in one day. It’s certainly tiring but a great option for those pressed for time.
We have more specialist courses for drivers – 3,4,5 x 3.5hr courses. Mainly designed for private customers but also open to business clients for specific at-risk drivers.
We can offer advanced driving courses in Surrey on a 2:1 basis, where one driver is trained in the morning for 3.5 hours, and the other in the afternoon, for 3.5 hours. Alternatively we can provide a full day (7 hour) session for one driver. Please contact us for a full quote. We have around 50 tutors location in and around Surrey who can provide advanced driver training for business and private customers.
We can start a training session from a clients office, although if required we can start from another location. Some of our clients who are based in London are often taken out into Surrey due to the mix of rural and urban roads and the fact that, unlike London you are not sat in traffic all the time! If your training is starting in Surrey we often head inside the M25 to areas such as Kingston, Croydon and Twickenham although rarely do we head into the centre as the traffic is often too dense. The exact roads are based on what you want from the course.
During a session we typically look at:
* Forward planning and observation
* Speed awareness
* Developing a positive attitude towards safer driving
* How to become a safer driver on all roads
* Car or van control (gears, steering, foot controls, signals)
* Rules of the road
* Dealing with road rage
* Reversing and manoeuvres
* Dealing with adverse weather
* Town and urban defensive driving
* Driving in heavy traffic and allowing adequate space
* Skid control theory and learning what causes skids
* Eco-safe driving (effective use of speed, gears, planning)
* Anticipation – Learning to see and not just look
* Understanding other road users and their intentions
Advantages of training with us:

Road Statistics in Surrey:
We have provided training to companies based all over the county including Reigate, Dorking, Guildford, Woking and Farnham.
With all our advanced driving courses we like to cover as many different road types as possible from town driving, to rural out of town locations and also motorways. Being located in Surrey the nearest motorway is the M25 and M3 both of which we carefully pick our timing to avoid sitting in rush hour traffic! Also if there are any delays we try and plan around them, to ensure that we spend as much time driving and as little time as possible in delays.
Apart from the motorways in Surrey we also carry out training on various A roads including the A24, A3 and A31, along with a range of more rural B roads where we can really work on car control and observation.
Depending where the courses start, we often venture out of the county into Kent or head west towards Berkshire. The exact locations vary depending on the start location, duration of the course and what type of training is best for our client.
