For all our bespoke driving courses in East Yorkshire, we provide training on a range of roads and different areas, which can include:

Motorway training – The M62 runs into East Yorkshire from Leeds into Goole and then splits into the A614 towards Bridlington, and the A63 via Hessle and onto Hull, where you can join the A1033. That will take you to the coast and Withernsea. Motorway training in the East Yorkshire area gives access to many of the faster A roads and motorways. We can teach a number of driving systems and techniques that will make the speed of the motorway less worrying. Such training will give you improved forward planning skills that can help with entering and exiting motorways and avoiding getting caught up in HGV traffic, which can sometimes stop you from seeing your exits in time.

Rural Roads – East Yorkshire is quite a rural county, and we can create rural road training sessions from the coastal routes from Withernsea to Bridlington, the more central rural areas between Beverley and Pocklington, or just about any route that you feel you need more confidence with. Rural driving can be the most hazardous; for example, the B1248, from Beverley to Bainton, has seen many accidents, some very severe, and a lot of these are sadly younger drivers. Rural roads and single-track lanes are very dangerous with the lack of lighting and signs and fast but windy, challenging roads; some rural roads may not have any road markings either. A few driving systems, such as the limit point, can be taught, and these can be applied very easily to make navigating rural roads a pleasure, not a worry.

Urban Training – Although Hull is the largest town in East Yorkshire, there are a few other towns that we can use when helping with urban driving in busy towns, such as Goole, Bridlington, and Beverley. Hull centre has a ring road, joining the A63, the Ferensway, and the A165, which will bypass the busy centre and route traffic around the city. With pedestrians, cyclists and public transport routes using urban roads and of course, other drivers, urban driving can be hazardous, so it is crucial to be able to anticipate the actions of others while using busy urban roads. Many towns have new routes that can cause diversions, which can be worrying if you are unfamiliar with them, but with some extra training, we can help minimise your urban driving risks.
