In comparison to all other quality one-day courses which take place at Millbrook, our Millbrook-Ultima course offers one of the longest actual driving times at Millbrook, allowing you more time to hone your driving skills on the wide range of circuits this unique facility has to offer. With Millbrook-Ultima it is just you and your tutor - allowing you much more freedom during the day. You are not paying to go out with and be tied to a group of other drivers who all may have vastly different skill levels and requirements!
Millbrook-Ultima allows you to either drive your own car, or should you wish for just £205 extra use our own 265bhp roll caged Subaru Impreza or track set-up Lotus Elise. Using our own car means no need to worry about fuel or wear on your own car!
Only Millbrook-Ultima provides every one of our customers with a copy of Roadcraft before the day as part of the initial gift pack, allowing you to prepare, and to refer back to in the future. Roadcraft is the leading advanced/performance driving manual used by the police to teach advanced driving techniques, that can be used both on and off track.
We estimate that less than 1% of high performance car owners really understand how to drive skilfully, and safely at speed, on both road and track. Out of this small percentage of drivers, all would have had some form of driver training on both road and track. Are you in this 1%?

Our Millbrook Ultima course is designed as an exclusive driver training day where you learn techniques that you can employ both on a race track and road in complete safety.
The course drills down in to detail and lets you look at, experience and understand exactly what is happening beneath you (i.e what your tyres and suspension are doing when you drive) and how you can use this understanding to become a far better driver.
Please do not confuse this course with a track day, experience day or your regular corporate driving day. This course is unique to us and is designed for the serious driver who wants exclusive one-on-one tuition at one of the most well known proving grounds in the world.

Whilst at Millbrook many customers will often see movie scenes being filmed, car manufacturers testing top secret pre-production cars, and episodes of BBC's Top Gear being filmed. Camera equipment, as you can understand is not allowed. Millbrook Proving Ground was the location in Casino Royale where James Bond (Daniel Craig) rolled his Aston Martin DBS! The Millbrook track driving course takes place in your own car which you may use for track days, or just general on-road use. The car will need to be road legal, as there is a part of the course that goes on to the public highway.
During the day you will drive on the following circuits, all at Millbrook:
1. Mile Straight- High Speed Circuit (where numerous speed records have been recorded)
2. Apron/Steering Pad; Handling Circuit;
3. Alpine Loops 1 & 2. (a regular filming location for BBCs Top-Gear)
With the Millbrook Ultima track driving course, you will:
* Learn hands-on about accident avoidance, ABS braking, safer cornering and how a vehicle responds to your actions as the driver.
* Gain a greater understanding of how your tyres, suspension, steering and brakes affect the way you need to drive.
* Understand the life-saving driver aids technology in most modern cars, e.g. ESP, TC and ABS. Most drivers don’t understand how they work. With our training you avoid having to rely on them!
* Experience your car at its limits of adhesion and learn what you need to do as the driver.
* Get the opportunity to display your new driving skills both on track and on road.
* Practice real-time emergency road situations in different road conditions – all in one place.
What we offer is so valuable as we combine high speed track driving, with techniques you will be able to apply to real driving situations.
Track days are great fun, but what you learn with us at Millbrook is more than what most learn after 100 track days and 30 years of driving!

Your day will start at 09:30 when you meet your personal instructor at the confidential facility where cameras and videos are strictly prohibited. Having passed Track Control you will head to our hospitality suite for a cup of coffee, licence check, all important Safety Briefing and discuss the objectives for your day.
After the necessary administration and safety discussions have been made, you will head out on to the purpose built circuits used by supercar manufacturers the world over. Designed to test cars, the consequential benefit is that they also test you, the driver. All our training is structured and safe – yet immensely challenging and enjoyable.
You will learn new techniques and also understand why they’re important and what’s really happening underneath you while you’re driving. Your day will cover the key elements of high-performance driving and tune you into the language of a vehicle driven at speed in a challenging environment, in safety. The morning is spent exploring the braking potential of you and your car as well as how your vehicle will behave during accident avoidance manoeuvres. Techniques are practised which are usually only put into effect when it is too late.
We have a plan for the day. However, if you want to spend more time on the skid pan - then we will spend more time on the skid pan. If you want to focus more on the Alipine Circuit - then that is what we will do. As the training is one-on-one the driving is really down to what you want. Unlike a crowded track day this day is just about you and your car. There are other people using the facility, but its so vast, you can drive for a while and see no other vehicles...some even say driving at Millbrook is like driving on a deserted range of roads - it can be quite spooky, even sureal at times.
Our Ultima Course allows you to prepare for the worst so that you have the mental tool box in place to make your reactions systematic.
After lunch you will drive some of the local country roads experiencing advanced cornering techniques, positioning for optimum safety, before heading back into the proving ground. You will progress your new found cornering skills on every type of corner that you could ever encounter.
Through the training you will understand better the relationship between vehicle dynamics and driver inputs. Learning how to keep your car stable and balanced at all times and in all conditions, you will step beyond your comfort zone to a new relationship with your car – for better performance. The day finishes with a detailed debrief and certificate presentation.
Your drive home will be a very different and enjoyable experience.

Buy the Course
The cost of the course is £1,045.00. All courses are delivered in a quality A5 sized gift box which is ideal if you are buying the course as a gift. We also include a copy of Roadcraft with £15.99. This is known as the bible of advanced driving and can be used as an excellent basis for both road and track driving. At the end of the course you will receive a certificate to say you have attended Millbrook and have taken part in Millbrook Ultima.
Once you buy your course the pack will be dispatched and should be with you within 3 working days.
When you take delivery of the course pack, you will need to ring the number of your tutor - details of which are all included in the pack. We will have breifed our tutors about your order and so your specified tutor will be expecting your call. We take pride in dealing with all orders on a personal level, and unlike the large experience companies, you will have an individual contact (both name, number and email) who is here to look after your every need up to, during and after the course.
When you get the course you simply need to organise a date and time for the day. It is simple as that! If you are buying as a gift, we understand there may be several weeks from date of booking to you phoning to book - this represents no problems. All we ask is that you book within 6-months of order date.
