Why further training

Passing your driving test is a great achievement. However, by passing the basic L test means that you have shown the examiner that you can drive without supervision – and that is about it!

What the L Test does not test:

1. that you can drive safely on a motorway.
2. that you can deal with a wide range of weather conditions whilst driving.
3. that you can drive safely at night.
4. that you have the mental maturity to avoid showing off/driving like an idot.
5. that you are aware of your own ability.

Although the driving test has become harder, there are still lots more you can do to fast track your driving skills way beyond your years. We offer both half and full days advanced driving course as well as Pass Plus. Pass Plus is such a valuable course as it trains you in the areas the L test does not cover, such as motorway and night driving and we do the course for just £110. Although our Pass Plus courses run in just the West Midlands, our advanced driving courses can be taken in most parts of the county.

Young Drivers & Statistics.

Sorry, we are not going to reiterate a load of statistics about how many young people die in car accidents each year. Chances are you will have had those statistics, rightly so, bombarded at you since you got your provisional licence. However, there is one statistic which really concerned us:

Young drivers are lax about drink driving: a scary 48% of young drivers said that they thought they would drive better after a few pints (Max Power survey).

You know the risks you face as a new driver – the thing is, are you going to do anything about it?
