Advanced
Driver Training
As you
will read on our Advanced Driver section, advanced driving is all
about observation and forward planning. Reading the road ahead and
getting clues will help you anticipate and plan much more effectively.
Differences
between L driver Training and Advanced Driver Training:
| L
Driver Training |
Advanced
Driver |
| Always
use pull push steering |
Pull
push steering is not always required |
| Always
signal at junctions |
If no one would benefit, why signal? |
| Always
keep to the centre of the road |
Use the width of the road for better obs. |
Mirror Singnal Manoeuvre |
System of Car Control (Roadcraft) |
| |
and
much more... |
These
are just a few difference between the L driver training you would
have only recently completed to get your full licence and advanced
training. Both are designed to reduce drivers risk on the road and
both are designed for maximum road safety.
However,
advanced driving by its nature is advanced, and so a lot of the
procedural, inflexible ideas and processes you acquire as a learner,
although act as valuable learning tool, are not relevant in advanced
driver training.
Advanced
training is more about developing your observational and planning
skills to allow for maximum progress and enjoyment, whilst at the
same time placing a large emphasis on safety.
