Advanced
Driving Test
Our advanced
driving courses, give the option to take an advanced test at the
end of the day. The purpose of this is to:
1. Assess
how much you have learnt during your day
2. Give
a professional assessment of your driving skill.
Our test
is based on the DSA (Driving Standards Agency) driving test report
- all drivers have to take to get their full cat B car licence.
We have chosen this as it assesses a wide range of driving skills.
However, we have modified this test and removed the basic "Learner
Driver" requirements, such as the left reverse and emergency
stop, and replaced it with measurements of advanced driving techniques
you will learn during the day.
The test
is marked at an advanced level, and will give you a highly informative
overview of your owns skill level.
The
Marking Scheme
- The marking scheme is done on a points system. The fewer points
or driving faults you get, the better your score.
0-2 Faults:
Diamond. Indicates
your driving is at a very high level and you are classed as a very
low risk driver.
3-6 Faults:
Platinum. Indicates
your driving is a great deal higher than the average driver, and
you are a low risk driver.
7-10
Faults:
Gold. Indicates your
driving is higher than the average driver, and you are generally
regarded as a low risk driver.
11-15
Faults:
Silver. Indicates your driving is slightly above
average. Although there are still some minor risks in your driving.
16-20
Faults: Bronze.
Indicates your driving is around that of the average driver. Although
not dangerous, you display some risks in your driving.
21+ Faults:
Pass. Indicates your
driving is below the average driver. You display some noticeable
risks in your driving which need addressing.
Most
drivers will be able to reach the Gold standard. However, to this
date no-one has ever reached Diamond standard..maybe this could
be you?
