When
asked a group of Advanced Drivers, what motivated them to take advanced
driver training, women mainly cited a desire to gain more confidence
behind the wheel, whilst men wanted to prove, mainly to themselves
and friends, that they could pass an advanced driving test.
Whatever
your motivation to become an Advanced Driver, make
sure you use this section to help reach your goal. Advanced Driving,
due to it being a very "sensible" thing to do, has mainly

But let's
face it, we all think accidents happen to other people and that
your driving really is quite good. Well, maybe
it is, maybe it isn't - but why not prove it to yourself and others
by training to become an Advanced Driver?

training is a very good idea - yet does not really apply to them.
When asked the reason, most believed that "they are already
good drivers" or that "they do not do enough miles a year
to justify"

If you
are a learner driver currently reading this section, advanced driving
represents the next level of driver training if you wish to develop
yourself further. However, advanced driving is by its very name
advanced, so it is often useful to have several months’ experience,
at least, under your belt before starting on such a course!
